The White Guitar

August 05, 2015 in Drama

Back in February I did a shoot with the Luafutu clan. We were creating a bunch of images to promote their upcoming stage show The White Guitar. The show will tell the tales of the Luafutu family, a Samoan family growing up in Christchurch. This is a photo of John the head of the family.

I really love this image. Just looking at John and his face and tattooed body, you can tell he has more than a couple of interesting stories to tell. I love to meet people that as they age, their face and attitude tell you immediately that they've lived a full life.

John's two sons Malo and Mathias are the other two main players in The White Guitar. Malo, also known as Scribe is one of New Zealands best known hip hop artists.

The White Guitar is onstage in Wellington, September 1st to 5th, and Christchurch from the 10th to 13th of September. Get your tickets at Ticketek and be prepared for an intense and entertaining show
